What is this?

Peanut's story

That night, Peanut's mother insisted on teaching the fox math. She asked very seriously:
“Child, how much is 8 + 7?”

The fox said “15” immediately, as if that was easier than eating cake.
But Peanut's mother wrote 12 in the notebook, looking very confident.

Fox said mother was wrong.
Mother said Fox was rude.
The mother and child opened all the books to the computer, then argued to the point where the poor notebook's pages were smeared because both cried out of frustration.

Peanut saw the notebook flattened, soaked, and then disappeared for a while. Late at night, it returned with a wooden cutting board shaped like a notebook. It’s unclear whether it was because the notebook couldn’t be torn, or because the heavy wooden one would only result in a sore bottom, but from then on, Peanut and its mother got along well while teaching each other.
